With over forty years of experience as a civil & geotechnical engineer, Dr. Vincent Lawrence is a registered Professional Engineer in Jamaica and Ontario, a member of the Jamaican Institute of Management, and a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a former Chairman of the Credentials Committee of the Jamaica’s Professional Engineers Registration Board. He is widely recognized as a skilled negotiator and has played an important role in the engineering community.
Dr. Lawrence served as Chairman of the Urban Development Corporation, the
Bauxite & Alumina Trading Company of Jamaica Limited and Jamaica Bauxite Mining Company Limited and is a former Deputy Chairman of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica. He holds a B. Sc. (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, and M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in Geotechnical Engineering from Queens University.
